Context and challenge

The client’s central need was to build a reliable digital environment for a very specific flow: inviting users to participate in a study, guiding them through registration and contextual information, and helping them complete an assessment battery within an experience that felt coherent, non-bureaucratic and technically solid.

The sociodemographic questionnaire as a strategic piece

This was not a generic form. It had to collect relevant participant information before the assessment, with rigour in the data while preserving clarity and warmth in the experience. The flow needed to communicate that the account was necessary to continue, using a serious and human tone.

A four-test battery integrated into one experience

After registration and the sociodemographic stage, the user accessed four assessment instruments within the same ecosystem. The challenge was twofold: translating complex tests into a usable interface, and correctly chaining each phase — registration, access, context, forms, tests and private area — without friction or breaks in continuity.

Strategic approach

At SIMA, we approached Psiquea™ as a project where form and function had to grow together. We did not design the brand first and then “apply” it, nor did we develop the technology disconnected from the visual system. We worked across the four fronts in parallel, with the same systemic logic we apply to physical identity projects.

Identity and positioning

We developed the full visual universe: logo, colour palette, typography, graphic tone, iconography and visual hierarchies. Not to achieve a pretty image, but to build a system capable of communicating rigour, trust, human sensitivity and scientific innovation at the same time.

UX architecture oriented around the real flow

We designed the user journey from a concrete participation logic: entry through a landing page or study link, registration, validation, access to the personal area, sociodemographic questionnaire and progression into the test battery. Each screen needed to reduce doubt and avoid cognitive overload.

Product vision from the start

We defined a logic in which each user was not simply a record, but a participant within a specific study context, with structured functional progression, session continuity and protected access to their private area.

Technical foundation as a strategic decision

The choice of Next.js, Prisma and an integrated backend was not accidental: it was the foundation that allowed the public brand experience, authentication, server logic and study flows to exist within one ecosystem instead of being fragmented.

Visual development

Psiquea™ was developed through sobriety and precision. The intention was to build a clear, clean and human environment without falling into cold graphic codes or unprofessional resources. The premium perception came from the coherence of the whole: tone, palette, hierarchy, components and experience architecture operating as one language.

Generic visual resources were replaced by a more restrained and consistent iconographic system, aligned with the brand identity. The entire visual layer — branding, UI, components, colours, editorial style — was designed to work with the same coherence on both public pages and inside the private study area.

System, replicability and depth

Psiquea™ is not a collection of screens: it is a functional architecture designed to operate. Each module is connected to the others and responds to a coherent, scalable product logic designed from the beginning to grow.

Public frontend

Landing pages, informational pages, explanation of the research approach and access to registration. Here we especially cared for the coherence of the visual system: global header, unified navigation, calls to action and a consistent premium interface language across all entry points.

Authentication system

The user can create an account, access the platform and enter the associated study flow. This block is secure and simple without breaking process continuity or the redirects required within the flow.

Contextual registration

This is not an isolated form: it is connected to the purpose of the study and the access logic of the invited user. The registration experience reinforces the sense of belonging to the research process.

Sociodemographic questionnaire

It collects the participant’s contextual baseline before the assessment battery begins. It was designed as a strategic piece of the flow, not as a mere formality: the participant understands why they are completing it and how they move forward.

Test battery

It organises the execution of the four instruments inside the Psiquea™ environment, maintaining flow and experience coherence. Each test is visually adapted to the interface system without compromising the integrity of the assessment instrument.

User private area

It gives continuity to the process and ensures that the experience does not depend on a single session. Users can resume their study, check their progress and access pending phases within their protected space.
