Context and challenge
A family business with almost 40 years in the trade and two generations at the helm deserved a digital presence that told what it already was on the street: a close, serious group with plenty of sparkle.
a.Two audiences, one website
On one side, the adult player looking for the nearest hall, its opening hours or directions. On the other, the bar owner who wants a slot machine, a table football, a pool table or a dartboard in their venue without any hassle. On top of that, a real estate line of commercial premises. Each needed a clear path from the home page.
b.A sector that calls for sensitivity
The website had to convey the magic of gaming responsibly: excitement and atmosphere, always for adults, with 18+ and responsible gaming present across the whole site.
c.Competing city by city
The goal was twofold: a first-class visual experience and flawless local search in every town where the group operates.

Strategic approach
We approached the website as one more of the group's halls: you walk in, feel the atmosphere and find what you are looking for in seconds.
a.Atmosphere first
Modern-casino art direction, almost gaming, that conveys the experience of the halls from the very first scroll.
b.Clear paths
Halls for those who want to play, machines for those who run a bar, and the group for those who want to know its story. Three doors you recognise instantly.
c.Fast and accessible by design
All the visual ambition on a static, light and accessible foundation, with a complete version for those who prefer less motion.

Brand identity
We restyled the Grupo La Palma logo: a full logo in positive and negative and a standalone isotype that becomes the heart of the whole system. It is the golden metal piece in the 3D hero, the core of the map markers, the favicon, the template for social images and the monogram peeking out of the footer.
Around the isotype we built the visual language: deep black with layers of light and fine grain, gold as the lead colour and a multicolour neon support in pink, cyan, amber, violet and green. Inter Display set at 800–900 weights, with giant headlines and one accent word in a gold gradient. The spade ♠ is the leitmotif: the four suits form the icon family, and the spade draws itself in the loader, the transitions and the map pins.

Visual development
The design avoids identical cards. Numbered rows 01/02/03, asymmetric columns and full-bleed photographs with each hall's name on top build an editorial rhythm that invites you to keep scrolling.
Glass surfaces in the header, panels and chips, plus one-pixel glowing borders as accents, add depth without clutter. Each headline saves its shine for a single word, which makes the gold glow brighter.

Motion and 3D
Motion works as a single system. Headlines assemble letter by letter, images appear with a subtle zoom, the figures of the story (1986, 40 years, two generations) count up with a soft glow and the hall names roll by in a giant marquee. Between pages, a black curtain with the spade drawing itself.
On the home page, the isotype extruded in 3D floats like a noble metal piece over a darkened video, with a neon halo, light particles and a gentle response to the pointer. It loads lazily so it never slows the page, and those who prefer less motion get an equally polished static version.

The hall map
The map is one of the most special pieces of the site. It uses a dark brand style and custom markers with the isotype at the centre, a spinning colour glow and expanding rings. On load, the halls light up in cascade, like the bulbs of a marquee.
The list stays in sync with the map, the area filter frames each zone with a smooth animation and every hall opens its card with opening hours and «Get directions». On mobile, the card rises as a panel you drag with your finger. Everything can be navigated by keyboard.

Machines for bars and local SEO
The B2B line has its own landing page, categories for slot machines, table football, pool and darts, and pages for each specific need. The «Request your machine» form is completed in one step, with client and server validation and spam protection.
To compete in every town we created city pages and guides for bar owners with their own content for Estepona, Marbella, Algeciras, Cádiz, Tarifa, Jerez and many more, generated from a single template with data per city. Structured data describes each hall, and an in-house rank tracking system measures progress keyword by keyword and city by city.
Platform and development
